Random adding order

I have a ton of things in my queue. The number is over 1000. In addition to that, I have several lists I'm adding in from. I was just wondering if there was ever any thought put into, perhaps, having an option to make your queue/lists add words in a random order, instead of from the earliest forward. I think it would help to freshen things up a little for people like me who have long queues of words lined up. Just a thought.

The queue currently isn't undergoing any upgrades because it's about to be phased out, with all lists having more queue like functionality, and all the words that are currently in your queue becoming a list on their own. Then you'll have a lot more control over what gets studied when.

When that happens, where will the "add to skritter" bookmarklet send the words?

We're thinking there will be one general list where if you're adding words within the site, that's where they will go, and where all the words you've already added to the queue will go. The bookmarklet and everything else you use to add to Skritter from the outside world will have their own list. So you might have one list for MDBG and another for the bookmarklet. That's our current thinking anyway!

If it includes old stuff, does that mean our active queue is going to (potentially be) a huge huge list?

As for different queues, a separate one for MDBG wouldn't work for me. I wouldn't be able to control the sequence/timing new words were added to study. To do so I'd have to add everything only to the queue, ignoring the MDBG list. Which is not particularly great, as the MDBG link is convenient.

Cheers
