When I encounter words for the first time, I tend to look them up in a dictionary (usually MDBG). Now I use a Lenovo tablet for Skrittering. On the tablet this ain't hard, but it ain't exactly easy either. The steps are:
1) Skritter page--maneuver the cursor to the left of the finished word.
2) Highlight the word.
3) Upper-right pen flick to copy the word.
4) Switch to MDBG in a separate Firefox tab.
5) Select the input field.
6) Lower-right pen flick to paste the word.
7) Click "Go".
All of which is to say that a little coordination is required. But, I mean, I'm learning Chinese, so whatever. Today I learned 胡锦涛 for the first time. I went through my seven steps; on one of the pen flicks, though, I clicked the word in the Skritter window by mistake.
Lo and behold... the word opens, in MDBG, defined, in a fresh Firefox tab.
Hahaha you guys are awesome.
