iOS app and website display different review numbers.

Hello,

Love the new app by the way. I have been showing it to all my classmates and people I know learning characters. I have noticed something the last week, however, and I am not sure if it is a bug, or just a difference in the app vs. the website. I have noticed lately the app only giving me new words for the most part, I haven't reviewed words I had been working on previously for a few days now on the app. Today I looked at the website again, and noticed that it said I have over 450 reviews needed! When I check my app it only says I have 53 due. My phone is syncing and has a good internet connection. Checked the iOS app settings and I can't seem to find anything there. I am not sure why my reviews are different on the app and the website.

Thanks again for all the work into the app. It really is a great piece of software.

I'll be sure to let Nick and Scott know if they haven't seen this post already, but one thing you might wanna try every now and again is shutting down the app via the home button, and letting it sync again on launch. I've also noticed that today after heavy usage, multi-tasking, and about 15 different apps open. However, after I quit the app and re-launch the first sync fixed the difference between the site and app.

Hope that helps! And I'm sure one of the other guys will chime in as well. Glad you are enjoying the app. Happy skrittering!

Go to the bottom of the account settings page and click 'status' under data to have the client do a comparison between the app and the client. What does it say?

It might be having trouble syncing changes if you're on a bad internet connection. Could that be the issue?

I also have this problem even when I check the data status page and everything is synced, the only thing that seems to somewhat work is ending the app and starting it again. But even then, it's not entirely correct, just a LOT closer to the actual number the webpage tells me.

Thanks to all for the replies!

I checked the status under data and it listed everything as mismatching.

I have a 3G connection that usually works ok but... I am in Asia so maybe my phone is not connecting with the server very well when i am out. At home I have wifi, so I'm not sure why it would not sync well when I get home. I tried force quitting the app via deleting the app from the multi-tasking bar, and then re-opening the app. But it does not seem to sync correctly upon reopen, data is still listed as mismatching.

I tried clearing local data, then signed back in. For the moment, after it finished the initial sync, it looks like everything is matching again. I will post again later when I have used it all day to see if it gets out again.

I had the same, see here: http://www.skritter.cn/forum/topic?id=183981651&comments=10

on the last post. When I shut off and on the IPhone and IPad, it was OK again, I didn't have to reload the data.
