Watered down version??

chinajustin   July 21st, 2012 1:34a.m.

So I went and posted a review of the app and noticed a recent one stating their opinion that the app is just a 'watered down' version of the web app.

What?!

I'm at a loss as to what true usability is missing from the app that would make someone say this? Anyone have ideas for the hate?

Well I guess there are some features that the app doesn't have yet that the web version does, like example sentences... but it's silly to complain about that since the app is still very young and has room for updates.

Damn straight!!! I reckon those people would still be complaining if the app was not released yet.

I reckon for a first release the app is excellent. Okay it has a couple of small teething problems, but that is to be expected. And on the whole, they DO NOT detract from the quality of the app.

Difficult to say. Different people expect different things. I've never used the web apps seriously but can understand if someone think sample sentences is a big deal.

The apps is very good considering it is the 1st version but there is a lot of room for improvement. Fixing bugs is probably more important than adding new features though.

I wouldn't get stressed out about crazy things people say on the Internet. That's an infinite time waster and you'll lose years off your life from all the stress.

Yup. Overall, our reviews are incredibly positive. I'm surprised there aren't more people writing non-five-star reviews.
