using different browsers

skritter being a bit slow in firefox the last two days i tried two other browsers just now and here is what I found out:

using skritter in chrome is ok but it feels a bit "shaky" - meaning the writing window is a bit flickering.

the second alternative browser i tried was safari and this was by far the worst result. same flickering feeling and the cursor sometimes appeared as arrow and sometimes as black dot as it should be.

so after this quick trial excursion i return happily to firefox. in firefox skritter feels stable and good.

Skritter has been very slow since my last Flash update. I think the update may be causing the slowness, but I can't confirm technically. I do however notice that before Flash was updated Skritter was performing very nicely in Chrome (I don't use Firefox at all).

Fortunately I also installed a Linux OS on my laptop just in case--it works as good as yesterday on Linux which has older Flash.

Personally, Opera gives me the best experience. I also tried Firefox and Chrome. Opera also works best with the Wacom-Plugin for me.

i just realized that chrome browser steals me two minutes skritter time.

how? i dont know. but here is how i found out.
i just now finished 1.45 h skritter time. then i visited the forum and when i came back to my study page the time it showed was 1.43h.

same happened last night. funny eh?

i tried the same in firefox. and this time the time stays the same. firefox doesnt steel time :)

learninglife j.h., your study time may not be exactly when you reload the page after being there for a while, because there are two different methods of counting (on the server and in the client), and they aren't quite the same. Firefox and Chrome shouldn't make a difference for when and how much this happens, especially if you're making sure all your pending reviews are saved before you leave the study page.
