Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

legacy.skritter.cn

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

the timer is crazy!

i go at 11am o'clock to study a vocab list. after ten minutes the timer shows that i've been studying 5 minutes the list. its ten past! help! the timer is crazy!! SKRITTERERS what do you think?? is your timer crazy too? i need helphelphelpppp :O so i need C.O.M.M.E.N.T.S!

It's because you have to be actively studying for the timer to count up. Therefore if you stop to think or do anything else this time is not counted.

yeah, I study 3 hours and it only counts around 1, because I change every word description to chinese and write some examples.

I think the timer stops automatically after 30 seconds if there is no writing. It is just supposed to count actual time studied. It is actually a very clever feature of Skritter, to standardize the time spent. So if I am "multitasking" it will probably take me a lot longer to get an hour of Skritter-time in than if I am just focused on running through the reviews. But you will notice that if you keep working the difference will be less than 2x, and your progress will go up in line with the reported Skritter time. By the way, stopping to learn more about a specific word is not necessarily a bad thing, in my view. Checking e-mail on the other hand . . . . . .
