Audio on reading practice

skdbhunt   September 22nd, 2010 11:16p.m.

I would prefer not to have Skritter pronounce as I go on reading practice since I don't want to hear my incorrect responses; I would much prefer that only the correct pronunciation be given, and then only after I hit 'return'. Any other votes for this?

Personally, I like hearing the incorrect responses as it helps me correct my mistakes during reading before I hit that Enter key.

What do others think? I do find it helpful as Ekrem describes, but I can see how it might be undesirable to hear the incorrect sounds.

I personally like it the way it is in case I accidentally hit a wrong key. Being able to hear it lets me know right away that I typed it wrong.

I too have been thinking of this. It seems like the incorrect pronounciations may be reinforced if you hear them.

I can see what Ekrem and JimAndress mean too. Hearing what you have written sometimes makes you check the spelling again. But on the other hand, if the incorrect spelling was due to a typing error, it is possible to change the grading to correct anyway.

So all in all I agree with skdbhunt.

I've had another user ask about this, and we still don't have enough feedback. If any other users using Chinese reading practice want to weigh in, we'd be very grateful.
