Android app after update

Schnabelhund   October 9th, 2014 8:39a.m.

Hey,
The Andrd app stopped working after the latest update. It shows me:

1. Refreshing token
2. Requesting data
3. Something went wrong. Check connection and reload

I'm definitely online as you can see, and I'm not sure if it will sync anytime soon. I've been traveling for a while and it was hard to get into the Internet, so I kept practicing offline. I'd hate to see that go to waste. Please help!

There was a bug in an older version that was giving this message and it was fixed in the latest version. It sounds like the issue is occurring as a transition between the old version and latest version. Unfortunately it's a bit of a tricky issue, but I don't want you to lose your data.

If you get in touch with me via e-mail (josh@skritter.com) I might be able to whip up a custom build to help you get around this issue. A few questions that'll help get things started will be, when was the last time you updated the app prior this current update and about how long has it been since you last synced?

I updated a few days ago, maybe up to a week or so. I was getingt the same messages, but I could accept them because I definitely was offline for a long while. I thought it was my fault for not turning on Skritter after the update while I had access to the net. So the stats on my device should be a week-ish old, but I had been studying the two weeks before that while traveling. Then I got a new update today, but I'm still getting the above messages.

When do you think you can fix this? I'll be on the road again tomorrow and I don't know when I'll get to use the Internet the next time.

Oh sorry, I was supposed to send you an email.

Hello?

Sorry I didn't catch your previous two messages. I got caught up in some programming things on Friday and didn't check the forums. I can try to get you a custom build that fixes the problem if you shoot me an e-mail. It's going to be a hacky build that merely tries to save your reviews after the upgrade issues so I don't want to publicly post it.
