start button in practice page doesn't work

gattosilvestro   May 21st, 2009 5:56a.m.

Hello everybody,

this is my first post.

First of all this site is very good and I like also that is build with use open source tools like python.

My problem is that if I click on the start button in the practice page it doesn't work. To go to the next character I must press space or click inside the drawing box.

This problem started yesterday.

Also the links in the guide page to access the guide sections are not working.

Thanks

Glad you like the site! And yeah, for me, getting to work in Python most of the time is pretty sweet.

Speaking of open source tools, Nick just finished revamping the javascript by adding JQuery (which is awesome) and uploaded it yesterday. We did a runthrough of the site, but we've probably missed a few bugs like these since just about everything had to be changed around, and that's a lot of changes. I made the fixes to the bugs you mentioned and just put them live, but my guess is there are probably a few more lurking around. I'll do some more running around the site trying to spot them, but let us know if you find anymore; they'll probably all be quick fixes.

Just a quick note - I think the links in the help page are still broken. My browser thinks it has navigated to them but nothing changes.

Thanks for the answer Scott.

I confirm the problem on the help page.

Try now? It looks like it was a bug in IE that I just fixed. There seems to be some other error that was firing, but it shouldn't break the help page any more (except for perhaps the first time you click on a section). Will continue to work on it.

works fine for me now, Thanks!
