word popup problem with 滙

jww1066   March 23rd, 2011 12:04p.m.

The popup for 汇 shows three traditional variants [匯/彙/滙]. However, the popup for 滙 doesn't work; it just sits there with a red X and never shows any content. I think that's because, although 滙 is in the system, it doesn't have any definitions yet. If that's the case, would it make sense to have the popup display some kind of message to that effect, and allow the user to suggest a definition?

Nope, the reason was because the server was erroring out trying to properly encode the character for the link to Zhongwen.com, which was something I just added today. I've fixed it so that if the system can't encode the character, it just doesn't link to Zhongwen.com.

Thanks for the report!

Oh God are you really adding a link to Zhongwen? That would be AWESOME. [Goes to check] YESSSSSSS!!!!

Yeah that one's been on my list since June. I'm making good progress through my backlog of things to do, the small ones anyway, setting aside time to hack away at them every week or two.

I'm pretty sure a disproportionate number of them were suggested by you James ;)

Hahahaha, sorry!
