ios - how do i study just one list

eddietsai   July 31st, 2012 3:20a.m.

so i've been studying NCPR but recently got a tutor who is teaching me with a different book and is asking me to memorize 10 characters each session - how can i use skritter to just focus on the new vocab so that i'm not parallel studying the NCPR. I've already stopped adding words from the NCPR list but it still seems to trump most of my study. is there a way without actually removing my progress on the NCPR list?

Skritter on the web, the iOS devices don't support that feature yet.

One way would be to ban all your NCPR words until you are ready to study them again.

Go to Study, click on the NCPR list, click on the contents tab, go into each section, select all words, then ban all selected words (under word actions). You van always unban me later when you want to study them.

One issue might be if your character list has the same words as the NCPR List. You'd have to selectively unban these words.

ah ok.. i guess that workaround works!

also what is the best way for a tutor to add words for me..? do they need to sign up and have a paying acct also?

Your tutor could sign up for a free account and create vocab lists that way, then share them with you.

You can also publish lists and add your teacher (who creates an account, doesn't need to pay to edit lists) as an editor for your lists. Then you can both edit them.
