TOCFL 2013 8000 word list

Hi, I've created a new list from the new TOCFL 8000 word list released earlier this year. Take a look here for details.

Thanks for the list. I am not that well educated in the TOCFL but isn't that divided in to 5 levels? If the list is randomized i guess that you also mix all levels. I still like to learn all the words regardless of level so that is fine for me. I did for fun run the list against a frequency database and come up with an entirely different order.

I randomized the words within each level. So there are still the 5 levels. The sections are named 1a, 1b... 2a, 2b... Up to level 5. The levels are not mixed. You could try ordering each level by frequency and still keep the five levels that way too.

Which database did you use?

Nice, I was also just about to publish my lists, I split them in smaller batches:
TOCFL - Master - Level 5
http://www.skritter.com/vocab/list?list=154649473
TOCFL - Superior - Level 4
http://www.skritter.com/vocab/list?list=153749062
TOCFL - Learner - Level 3
http://www.skritter.com/vocab/list?list=154658832

I used the lists on http://www.tw.org/tocfl for my words, that was last year.

All three lists tally up to 7,557 words. I can't imagine the differences to be drastic with the 2013 version, but I'll compare with your lists once I'll be done studying mine.

Thanks for the update! ^^

Thanks for your work. It's a useful list to have for filling in any gaps in one's vocab.

What is TOCFL?
never heard of that before.

sorry if its a touch off topic.

TOCFL stands for Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language. It's basically Taiwan's answer to the HSK.
