Ban Starred Words

马洲屹   November 26th, 2013 12:05a.m.

Hi Skritter Team,

Would it be possible to make all my starred words banned in one fell swoop? I know I can do this manually, but it will take a lot of time

I added quite a few words last year, and after having a little bit of a hiatus I am finding that my recall is not as good as I would like. So what I am doing is going through the words (like Hacking Chinese recommended) and reinforcing the context of the word or adding a new context. However, until I am able to do that I want to remove them from my studied words.

Cheers,
Joe

Thanks Malaili! I have got a few starred words that have been accumulated over the past few months (over 1000 or so, that I would like to change the definition or relearn context).

Also, I am not too sure this will be a problem until I have tried it out, but I do put Chinese words and sentences in the definition to provide context. I wonder if I cut and paste the sections then those characters in the definition section will be loaded as words in the list.

Skritter Team?

It did :-). Thanks again Malaili!

I was trying to think of a good way to do this, but as the banning code is rather complicated, I couldn't think of a simple way to write a script that would make this happen for you. Sorry!

That's okay mate! Mailali's work around wasn't as long as I thought. Only about 15mins or so.
