Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

legacy.skritter.cn

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

Chinese soaps or other internet TV

Can you recommend your favorite internet stations, or iphone/ipad apps, for watching TV? I am stuck here in Los Angeles and really miss watching Chinese soap operas, mostly since I can understand most of the simple, overly dramatic language...

What about Youtube (for Taiwanese stuff) and Youku/Tudou (For Chinese as well as Taiwanese)

Note that Youku/Tudou are under the GFW, therefore it might be (very) slow

If you are using Windows, you can also give a try to PPlive :)

Normally it depends on the show, but quite often you'll be able to find subtitles. The site below might be helpful too.
