I was using the fifth volume of New Practical Chinese Reader, but decided to switch to:
Readings in Contemporary Chinese Cinema:
A Textbook of Advanced Modern Chinese
Chih-p'ng Chou, Wei Wang & Joanne Chiang
http://press.princeton.edu/titles/8681.html
I've heard good things about Professor Chou's textbooks, but none of them struck my interest until this one - every lesson is based around a different contemporary Chinese movie. I'll definitely be adding words from the textbook as I learn them, but I was wondering if anyone else out there in Skritter land also uses this text. If other people are using it, I'll make a custom list for it.
