Have you pre-ordered anything recently, or perhaps there's something that you paid for a while back that's still yet to go through? Sometimes this sort of thing will put holds on your checking account. You may want to go to your bank/credit union's page and log in and look at your history, or contact them and ask. This has happened to me numerous times.

We're only told that the transaction was declined. You'll have to ask your bank why it was declined, but the normal reason is that the bank requires more information than we collect, usually the security code which we cannot by law collect and store along with the rest of the card information. Do you have any other cards you can try? We also have alternative payments through Google Checkout and PayPal, but those are only set up to purchase six months at a time. To pay through those services, go here:

In the meantime, I've added a week to your account so you can still use Skritter while trying to get this figured out.

Have you checked with VISA? They have tight security regulations, whenever the amount of a transaction or the place/country, where the card is used, is different from normal, they block the card immediately. Usually, they try to call the cardholder, but not always. I had this already a couple of times, especially with VISA.

If Skritter is listing your card as on file, you can switch the card on your account at this link:
https://www.skritter.com/account/billing/change_cc

Otherwise, you can enter the other card's details here:
https://www.skritter.com/account/billing/subscribe

Good luck! If that still doesn't work, please describe in detail the error messages you're getting.
