recalculate totals and retention rate

sonorier   January 10th, 2012 11:13a.m.

Ha, i just did a recalculation of my totals on the progress page. Apparently the numbers were only slightly wrong before. But now i have a retention rate of 112.6%, that´s hilarious.

Scott's planning on putting in a bit of logic to detect that and tell you when the retention rate can't be calculated because of discontinuity in the progress numbers.

sonorier   January 11th, 2012 6:26a.m.

Cool. Won´t it mess with the target retention rate?

nick   January 11th, 2012 9:26a.m.

No, it's just the displayed statistics--it won't affect the scheduling.

Bohan   January 20th, 2012 3:17p.m.

yeah, mine just did the same thing. I have a new retention rate of 153 percent

balsa   February 6th, 2012 3:25p.m.

Any update on this issue?
I ventured into doing a Recalculate and my retention is now well above 100%.

nick   February 6th, 2012 7:49p.m.

At some point, it will go from saying >100% to "N/A" or something like that, for the time period that includes the recalculation. But it might take a little while to get to it.

balsa   February 7th, 2012 8:19p.m.

so that means that I'm stuck with erroneous stats for the meantime? :\
That kinda sucks since it's useful to have those stats to measure progress, and also as a motivation factor, but I understand you guys are close the iOS release, which I'm looking forward to, so I'll give you some slack until then ;)
