Paying but not using

Alliriyan   September 14th, 2012 11:33p.m.

Since, due to a very busy summer (work, driving tests, moving to China, etc), I've paid for 3 or 4 months of Skritter and not used it at all except like, 3 characters when showing it to other people...
Is there any way to get either get that money back or maybe a few reduced months?

Worth an ask. : )

Also hurry up with making an android app! The internet in Yunnan Normal Uni is pants! ; )

Sure! Would you like a refund, or would you like the unused four months added to your account (now, or later when you have some more time for studies)?

We are not doing an Android version, instead deciding to optimize and devote maximum attention for iOS and web experiences needing complete heed. Sorry!

I once saw a place where you could pause your subscription for use during vacation. Later I have not been able to find that button. Can you please give me a link, Nick?

I'd say take the loss as punishment for not studying and know the money went to a good company :P

Next time you can use the "go on vacation" feature in the account tab to suspend your account while you're away.

I was one of the people who was using Skritter on Android in the web browser and hoping for an Android app, but finally caved and bought a used iPod Touch. I didn't want to fork out the money for it, but the benefits to my studying greatly outweigh the cost. If you're waiting for a native Android app you could be waiting for a very long time.

so far i have been able to use skritter daily and i can see the great benefit.

in the future it might be the case that i am unable to use the internet or the computer for 1 day to a week.

my question is: is there a button or an option to "freeze" the status of my skritter account so that the review-items wont build-up?
or is it jus enough to hit the "pause" button?

alliriyan   September 17th, 2012 6:01a.m.

Adding the months to my account would be great, thanks very much. : )

It's a shame about the android app. Now can I find a used iTouch in China without it being stolen or fake? hmm... haha.

Now to tackle 4 months of built up reviews.

You should be all set now, alliriyan. Welcome back!

If you're going to go on vacation, you can use the vacation mode. Go to your account settings, and if you're currently subscribed with a credit card, then you'll see the "go on vacation" link on the right sidebar. It doesn't show up when you're not on the recurring billing, though.
