Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

legacy.skritter.cn

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

Can't access skritter in China

charviv   September 17th, 2013 3:02a.m.

Hi. I'm living in Nanjing and the last few days have found that both skritter.com and skritter.cn are blocked. I can't access them without using a vpn. Is anybody else experiencing this problem or does anyone have any ideas about how to get round it?

Thanks!!

I'm using it all the time in Shanghai from 2 different locations with 2 different ISP - no problem.
However, only .cn works for me.

I'm having the same problem here in Beijing. The past few days have been pretty frustrating.

I just had the same problem with the .cn domain. I usually use Google Chrome as my browser and was not able to login today, but then I tried logging in using Mozilla Firefox, and that seemed to do the trick. Maybe try using a different web browser and see if that resolves the issue.

I have also been having some problems loading it recently. Firefox didn't want to load it, but it was fine when I opened my free VPN. I'm using VPN Reactor. I find it's much better than using a proxy like freegate, as I can watch/download youtube videos without problems.
