how do I delete words/characters as I'm going through...

Bohan   September 28th, 2010 3:35p.m.

How do I delete stuff as I'm going through the review queue? There are some words that have gotten into my queue that I've decided not to learn , but they keep coming up

Click the magnifying glass to bring up the word popup, then hit the red "minus" buttons on all the parts you don't want. A better "delete" or "remove" button there will be good, as this is non-obvious enough to be asked frequently

where is the magnifying glass?

Bohan   September 28th, 2010 6:49p.m.

okay, I found the magnifying glass, and I clicked it and clicked on the minus signs of the characters I want to get rid of, but they're not going away. And when I repeat the process, I see that the minus signs are still there on the characters I'm trying to delete

Bohan   September 28th, 2010 6:57p.m.

do you mean that I should click on the minus signs that are next to "writing" and "pinyin" ? Or all of the minus signs that I see, if I just want to get rid of all of the characters in that particular word?

nick   September 29th, 2010 8:49a.m.

Writing and pinyin, so you don't see that word again.

Nudge on the remove button for this, I had to look up the forums to see how to do this :)

We will be trying to fit one in there as we redesign the confusing table in that popup.
