Oddity in "Next" listing in 'my words'

lechuan   August 30th, 2012 3:08p.m.

When I click on 'my words' on the website, 来 has '9 months' in the 'next' column. But when I do a search for 来 in the 'my words' page, it lists '9 hours' in the next column.

Look at the table where it shows the individual parts. The tone prompt was due in 9 hours and the writing prompt in 9 months. Sorting by "next" shows you whichever one is due the soonest. Searching for it lists... I forget how it picks which part to do, but it's not ordered by the most-due.

Thanks Nick! I had forgotten that you can click on a character to get more details, I should really make more use of the website.

Funny thing is, I have the tone tests off, so not sure why it was scheduled in.

I hadn't realised you could click on words like that. Thank you! There is a mine of information there.....

Yes, that is fantastic. I'm sure there are other features I haven't noticed yet!

The web app has lots of great features that you don't see on the iOS app. I started using the web app a bit more recently when I discovered that I could switch off writing practice in the "Temporary Parts Study" Settings. Some days I now do the pinyin and meanings on the web, and the writing on the iPad. The keyboard shortcuts make it very quick, I haven't been able to find a shortcut for "So-so" yet though.

You can press 1-4 to toggle the 1-4 grades on the web version during writing and definition prompts, and maybe on reading prompts if you haven't typed anything yet (don't quite remember).

In "my word" I keep them ordered by "previous". All is fine in the first page of 15 words, but whe I click "next" than the following 15 words are not ordered anymore... I get words sudied months ago and in apparNtly random order.

Looks like a bug in beta. Thanks for letting us know, pippopluto! If you switch to the stable site it's still working right there.
