Cursor Missing

itaju   June 29th, 2011 5:34a.m.

Hey. I haven't changed anything in my brother settings but it seems like the coursor would disappear directly over the character writing panel. I can still write but I can't see the cursor, only the strokes...

Does anybody make the same experience, is it a technical problem or is there something I an do?

Best wishes

Are you seeing the mouse cursor instead of the misshapen black dot cursor, or is there nothing there at all? Also, do you notice any performance difference when writing now, vs. how it was before?

I just tested it again. the first characters I could see the cursor but it was the regular mouse cursor, not the blurred dot. but it felt very smooth (better than before, I guess). but after like 5 characters the cursor disappeared.

(I am also using mac chrome)

may I have my cursor back please???

itaju, I had a cursor problem also some time ago. In the end, I tried my mouse on another PC and found out, that it was a hardware problem of the mouse, resetting the mouse, re-install of driver,.... all didn't help; once I changed to another mouse, it was OK. Very strange, this effect was mainly on Skritter, with other apps I didn't have this effect.

This time it's a bug in my code--I've got it on my list to fix today. May my sword strike swift and true!

I've fixed the most obvious case of the mouse cursor disappearing. Let me know if you still find it going invisible on you.

Sorry about that!

now it's working, the regular mouse cursor (for my other applecations)

works smoother than before! :)

It looks like there's a way to get the custom cursor back with native OS cursor performance, but we have to wait until almost everyone has Flash Player 10.2 before we can make the switch. I'm excited to see if that makes things faster in other browsers.
