Automatic import from Chinesepod ?

Nikochan   February 28th, 2012 8:34a.m.

Hi,
The Skritter pricing page says that Skritter offers "ChinesePod Support:
Automatically import your vocabulary from ChinesePod and keep on studying."
Could someone tell me how this can be done ?
Thank you very much in advance for your help.
Regards
Nikochan
PS: I have an paid account for Both Chinesepod and Skritter.

If you go to 'Vocab Lists', at the bottom under 'Chinesepod lists' you can either search by lesson, or access your own word lists.

Edit: although it doesn't seem to be working at the moment. Chinesepod servers have been awful recently. My RSS feed keeps going down too.

The old API we've been using appears to have been disabled. I'm trying to get in touch with them to see if we can get it back up. We should have moved to their current API sooner, but when they announced a new version was forthcoming I delayed further so that we wouldn't have to update the code twice in a row. Hoping we can get them to keep the old API until the new one shows up! If not, then I'll get the details about the current API and do the update to the code I should have done earlier.

Thanks for the feedback. I was searching (in vain) in Skritter's account settings which explains why I couldn't find it.

In fact as mentioned by Byzanti, the import functionality doesn't seem to work at the moment. Too bad as the Chinesepod + Skritter combination seems to be a powerful one !

Is there any update to this, are there plans to get it working again?

icebear   June 16th, 2012 6:13a.m.

@Greg Its been fixed and working since sometime earlier this spring.

@icebear, got it thanks.

Is there any trick to accessing my own vocab list? I get the link but it shows me a gigantic list of lessons (I've only done about four), first in English, then in characters, then in Korean.

I think I misunderstood what was available. I have to import from Chinesepod to Skritter the vocabulary lists from the individual lessons and then delete what I don't want in Skritter.
