Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

No more Android support?!

So with the latest OS update Skritter no longer works on my tablet. I tried logging in to the beta site but it says that my user name doesn't exist. Any other options?

Try the recover account feature with your email to find your username; that should still be around. But yeah, because Flash is no longer available on the tablets, the study page won't be able to load. It's a real bummer. You'd have to use some workaround to install Flash from some other source, since Google Play no longer offers it.

Note to self, backup flash apk on my phone.

I was hoping that 'beta' meant that you were testing HTML 5 as a replacement for Flash but apparently that's not the case. That's hugely disappointing to me and rather puzzling that you seem to be giving up on ~70% of the mobile devices.

I can still use Skritter on my phone for now but it won't be long till I upgrade and it definitely won't be to an iPhone.

:(

HTML5 is a bad idea in my opinion, it's either flash or native.

Knowing how expensive it can be to develop an app, I won't whine here about the lack of an Android app.

However, I hope it's on the middle/long term todo-list because as many people here, iOS won't be an option for us.

Yeah, waited 2 years for the iOS app (which is ace by the way, love it) but now i'm thinking of changing to a Galaxy Note II. Just found the iPhone 5 to be massively underwhelming. Might get a cheap pay-as-you-go card to keep my iPhone alive so i can still use the app.

@张飞: You don't need a cellular network to use Skritter. You can sync over wifi instead. Basically your iPhone becomes an iPod Touch.

@Scott

Yeah, wanted to give my iPhone to my mum though. She's still on some Nokia from the beginning of this century. Intend to drag her into the 21st C (minus the kicking and screaming).

New iPad minis are looking appealing tho.

I understand Flash is being dropped because Html5 does not need it. Surely the web site is going to need updating. On my Transformer with Android 4.03 one of my browsers now crashes immediately the character screen appears but the other still works. If it stops working on both my phone and tablet I would have to think about whether it is worth it just for the desk top.
