Crazy Audio

Aaron Dolman   November 8th, 2013 2:58a.m.

Is anyone else getting some crazy random audio in the background while studying?

It just seems to blurt out some random characters, nothing related to what's on the screen.

And the best part is it does it even when you turn sound off.

Any one else got this?

yep, but since I always seem to be the first to notice these things I was afraid to mention it. I thought maybe Skritter had Tourette Syndrome.

It also seems to run through several words at once upon loading, albeit more quietly.

It seems like it's just blurting out the characters a bit late for me. Silence for a while, and then ten characaters all at once, or in quick succession.

The running through several words at once quietly phenomenon is a known issue caused by a software workaround. The most recent bug is words blurted out at full volume randomly. At least that's what I am experiencing. Not very often so I can live with it so far. (Wakes me up, anyway.)

Weird! Is this on the web version or the iOS app?

Web version, I have it too.

However, I noticed that when Skritter starts "blabbing", the current character is within the string of sounds being played. Can it be related to the pre-loading of audios?

on web version too

web version. I have not seen it on my iPhone.

Noticed this right now for the first time, for the web version. It plays some words from the list I'm studdying, right after the ordinary audio, but with much lower volume.
