Really Slow Tonight

YueMeigui   June 24th, 2011 12:56p.m.

It seems like every other character I get the loading loading loading green dots. I'm on my laptop right now and I'm on a wifi connection that currently has no one else on it but the speed is still so slllllloooow.

Have you guys been doing anything funny to the system?

nick   June 24th, 2011 1:01p.m.

I'm looking at the server stats, and everything should be fine right now. I would suspect the wifi connection--are you seeing slowness on any other sites?

YueMeigui   June 24th, 2011 1:51p.m.

Not especially slow on other sites. I've been switching back and forth between writing and skrittering and I find if I let it wait five minutes or so after the green dots of doom go away then I'll go a whole bunch of prompts before seeing them again. If I keep going I have 10 and 20 second waits between prompts.

Huh, that's odd. Is there any difference between response speeds on skritter.cn vs. skritter.com? Logs still showing normal stability and speed.

inside china so .com doesn't work at all ...

it's also stopped acting so wonky

I was on skritter.cn yesterday evening from about 8 pm to 10:30 pm local time from my home in Shanghai, nothing unusual, performance was quite OK.
