Audio on Reading Practice [again - please give opinions]

with reference to "audio on reading practice"

I would rather not hear the audio of things I have mistyped. I think the wrong sound sticks too much in my mind. This is one of the reasons I usually skritter with the sound off (the other reason is that other people use this room too...)

what do other people think?
Would it be better if Skritter only spoke the correct versions?

Rachael.

Rachael, I agree with your opinion, Skritter should only give the correct audio. Drawback: if you type the wrong pinyin, Skritter would let you know and give you hint (e.g. first character in a word, but that's a matter of self-discipline).

I actually prefer it the way it is; it often helps me catch typos I've made. However, I would like to have the full word pronounced correctly at the end after hitting enter.

As a beginner I find the way it is really helpfull. When I hear it pronounced I realise it sounds wrong and can correct it till it sounds the way I think it should. This helped me a great deal in getting a handle on the pinyin and the tones. And like junglegirl, now I'm getting a bit better at it, it catches typos. But I can see that when you get to be more advanced it might be a different story.
Might make a good option in the study setttings?
