In the miscellaneous section of the help page, there are already some stroke orders discussed. I sometimes find different stoke orders in different sources. How about a wiki page of those strange cases (e.g., 馬 with horizontal or vertical stroke first, 门 with dot or vertical first, etc.). Maybe we can add which one is used by scritter, which ones are accepted by scritter and if anyone knows where the variants are manily used (Taiwan, Mainland, historical like the dot being the third stroke in 戈 when writing direction was still top down, ...).

What do you think of it?

George has been keeping a list of all this information statically, so we've resolved to just make a page where we put this online so you can see, too. I don't think we need to set up a wiki for it, as it should be pretty complete right now.

Cool, does it have a note on why some people write the 8th and 9th strokes of 說 differently? Been wondering that for a while.

Hmm--George's information only covers stroke order. To cover full variant characters would take an extra tome and a half, as there are several hundred. If Chris is interesting in doing the writeup, we might include it, though.

Hm, if you have the information in raw format I can have a look. I only have the Unicode database and there, 說 is only one character so it would not show as variant.

Unicode actually has all three:

说 - simplified
說 - main traditional
説 - the other traditional

I've already forgotten the story behind it.
