payment declined

abhoriel   July 21st, 2011 8:35a.m.

My credit card payment was declined (I'm sure the details are entered correctly).

I dont want to prepay for 6 months, its a lot to pay in one go for a hobbyist learner (particularly as a student). Furthermore, prepaying does not take my coupon price reduction into account.

Is there no way to set up a paypal subscription?

Regards

We don't have the details as to why your card was declined (you'd have to contact the card issuer to figure it out) but it's possible your issuer wants more data submitted. Try this page:

https://www.skritter.com/account/billing/subscribe?all_fields=true

EDIT: Also, I've added a week to your account so you don't have to worry about adding more words while this is sorted out.

thanks scott, yeah that page fixes it.. I guess it needed the security number.

1 more thing - the price reduction seems to have gone! not a big issue though.

thanks for your help!

If it is indeed due to the security number, you'll likely need to enter your information again once a month. We're not allowed to store security numbers in our system (nor are any third parties, that's to keep it secure) so if your card issuer requires it each time you are billed electronically, you'll need to provide it yourself each time I'm afraid. If that's the case, you'll receive an email each time your card fails to go through.

What was the price reduction? I must have overwritten it accidentally when I set up your extra week.
