Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

legacy.skritter.cn

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

Anyone else having a connection issue?

I think it may just be that my connection is bad, but it seems to be lagging--more specifically, as I write the characters, the cursor goes in and out (very fast) between the skritter paint brush the general mouse arrow--this problem really makes skritter much harder to use. Is this just me lagging, or is there a problem with the website? Thanks.

Are you using a mouse, or a Wacom pad? If on a Wacom pad, have you gone through the settings at: https://www.skritter.com/wacoms/settings ?

Have you tried multiple browsers? If not, I'd say give either Firefox or Chrome a shot.
