Has anyone used the book 常用汉字图解 / The Composition of Common Chinese Characters: An Illustrated Account? ISBN: 9787301033296
I just bought it and it looks really interesting. I'm thinking about making a Skritter list if people are interested.
It is a bilingual Chinese/English book in 652 pages (+ a 24 page intro), with each page dedicated to one character. It shows the character in simplified, traditional (and variations if available), oracle bone, bronze and seal script and pinyin, with explanations in Chinese and English, as well as a (cartoonish) illustration and some words it's used in. It explains both the traditional character and the simplified (if it is an old variant, abbreviation from cursive etc.).
