Progress Viewer Problems

GaryM   January 25th, 2012 7:45a.m.

I started using Skritter just over a week ago. In the progress view a couple of days ago my Character Writings figure said 150, and after further study it has dropped to 115. However, when I press the "Totals" button, it shows my Character Writings as 183. The graph also displays this level. There seems to be quite a discrepency between what the "Totals" and graph are showing me, and what the "Character Writings" is telling me. Up until a couple of days ago these values were always in line. Shouldn't the two values always be the same (i.e. the Totals figure and those values found next to the graph)? I am misunderstanding something here?

Probably because the progress view is showing a rolling week total, as in the most recent 7 days, it shows your progress is going down. As soon as you go in to day 8, the total is a week total from day 2 to day 8, a day later from day 3 to day 9 etc. Try selecting the month or year numbers by clicking on the tab to see if that matches the total numbers you referred to.

Excellent! Thanks for the explanation. That is a really useful feature. I can imagine after a while I there would be a tendency to just look at the totals, so having a rolling view helps to maintain consistency. Very happy.
