Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

The second is loving the neutral tone on the second syllable, which seems appropriate for this word--it's also the one in use for this word.

If the audio sounds clipped or something, sometimes that can happen, and it gets cached that way. At some point we'll try to go from dynamically trimming the audio to storing more of it on the server already cleaned up, and that will no longer occur.
