Example sentences

I know that the "example sentences" feature is going to be upgraded anytime soon. I was just wondering if you will be able to implement a feature that would allow people to display only sentences with words already studied.
It would be very helpful. Often I give up to learn the sentence because of many words I don't know (or I don't need to know, at this stage).

We already sort the example sentences by difficulty, which is the best we can do at the moment--it's too slow to index them based on all the words in them compared to what you already know. The problem is that we just don't have many easy sentences.

In the Pleco dictionary (the PLC one)there are phrases for each word. The phrases are simpler and better for me than the sentences in Skritter.

I actually like getting difficult example sentences, often find myself picking out words I didn't know and add them to my list, some of the grammar used is also quite interesting.

Grahameh, also on the whole they are quite good. There are plenty exceptions, but they compare very favourably to Pleco's ABC dictionary, where the sentences are often somewhat suspect.

I find as an elementary learner that many of the example sentences are too advanced or complex to be of any use. It would be useful if you could select your level of learning and then the appropriate sentence level matches to this.

FYI Japanese learners, I've been putting example sentences in the mnemonics section for many of the words in my list. I copy/paste them from any of the search engines found in the drop down list, so they're legit. I'm not the only one doing this, either. Hope it helps!
