Stop adding traditional variant of new words?

Hi!

I'm studying simplified Chinese.

When I add new vocab, I sometimes come across words that Skritter doesn't have in the database, so I add the definition, and sometimes tones where appropriate. However, I am sometimes asked to choose which is its correct Traditional Chinese counterpart. I have no idea which option to choose from, and I can't add the word without choosing one. This usually ends with me taking the first option offered, regardless of whether it is correct or not.

Would there be a way to skip this step if one doesn't know? I don't want to pollute Skritter's database with bad info, even if it is on rarely used vocabulary. Or is there a good site that I can quickly go to to check?

Thanks!

You can usually check on MDBG pretty quickly. We do check the inputs, so we will often fix any mistakes, but it helps us out a lot if you can do a quick check first.
