思想與社會 / Thought and Society textbook

fangshi   May 27th, 2012 12:33p.m.

Hey guys,

I am working through the textbook mentioned in the title at the moment and was looking for a already made vocab list on Skritter before I create my own.

I was really excited when I found it in the Official Lists -> Textbooks section, only to realize it only had chapter 2 completely and chapter 3 partly added.

Why is an incomplete list in the Official Lists section? :S

Anybody knows if there is another complete list hidden in the User-made Lists section? I mean its a pretty popular textbook among upper intermediate/advanced students so I guess there is a fair chance somebody worked through it before.

Not that common it seems. Probably because it is a rather advanced level textbook. The lists that I found references to were based on Skritter's (http://www.skritter.com/vocab/list?list=74115693). Looks like you will just have to expand on it. And do share - it seems this is a very good textbook.

Ben started to make it, but got distracted, I guess. I've added you as an editor to it, in case you'd like to expand it. I don't think anyone else has worked on another version.

Ok cool, I am just afraid it will take me a while to finish as well. ^^ I will probably add the first chapter this week. But I think I will take a month per lesson as I do them additionally to me regular language class in Taiwan and the lessons have like 150-180 new words per lesson. But I guess I can finish it this year! :D

The list in the Offical list section has the name in simplified characters, but my book (and preference) are traditional characters. But I guess that doesn't matter right? People can still choose either way right?

scott   May 28th, 2012 1:13p.m.

That's correct. Traditional characters are mapped to simplified characters, so all lists work for both styles.

I've taken that list off the official lists for now. When it's done, let me know, fangshi, and I'll put it back on our official lists and credit you two months. Thanks!
