How does the Skritter app work on jailbroken iPhones?

戴德辉   July 10th, 2012 1:58a.m.

I'm thinking of jailbreaking my iPhone but I'm worried about how Skritter will run on it. Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks in advance :)

Well. Either you make your iPhone unusable (temporarily, as you can always restore it to factory settings) or it all works just fine; and in that case it shouldn't disturb the app whatsoever.

Or are there some other special circumstances? I can't imagine anything, myself, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Good luck!

I'm using Skritter on a jailbroken iPhone 4 with no problems at all.

Also using it on a jailbroken iPad 2 with no issues, either.

Great, thanks! :)

And Sentient, I'm not sure if there any special circumstances, that's why I asked. There are some apps which can be screwed up even after a restore from a jailbreak, so I didn't want to take the risk.

Almost everyone I've talked to didn't report any Skritter-specific problems on jailbroken devices, but one guy was unable to install third-party apps after a while (which affected Skritter updates).

I use it on a jail broken iPhone and iPad 3. Works perfectly fine. I've never had an app that didn't work perfectly fine under a jailbreak. If you do jailbreak, be sure to check out the Baidu Input Method in Cydia. It's a much better keyboard for typing pinyin (I use the phone-like setting). It also has dictionaries such as famous people, places, bus stop names for major cities, etc.

I see, thanks! And thanks for the suggestion, reznor!
