What am I missing?

haodi   July 18th, 2012 10:20p.m.

The situation: I'm on the free week subscription, I've made my own list to review and that's the only list I'm using, there are 11 words in the list (im just trying it out to see how it works) but for 99 percent of the time it only reviews 4 or 5 of the words in the list. I'm getting sick and tired of reviewing the same stupid 4 words (it's been almost an hour of reviewing only 4 words). What am I missing here? Am I doing something wrong?

11 words is not much so that might be the first issue but to start with, make sure that you have list to automatically add words. www.skritter.com/account/settings-language

Do you get the words correctly or do you mark them as maybe so-so? If they are not learnt it takes longer time to get new words.

You can also try to change to manual add only and click the green plus icon to add words your self. That is what I do to get them in my pace.

Do manual add in the app or website.

Thanks guys.

It seems to add all 11 words over a short period of time, and i write all the words once, but then for the next hour it only reviews 4 or 5 of those words, even though I am getting them all right.

I'll try the manual add see if that changes anything.

Thanks.

If you get some of the words correct the first time, then they are unlikely to come up again soon when studying--the scheduling sends them about a week out when you do that. So the other words are all more "due" than those, and they don't come up.

You should really add a bunch more words to your list. Studying when no words are due (the blue "items due" review bar on the study screen is empty) is not efficient. You can handle a lot more than eleven words, so don't worry about adding more.
