priority for vocab lists

danisovic   August 17th, 2012 5:13a.m.

Is there any way to set priority for vocab lists? I mean, words from one vocab list would be added more often as from the others. If not, take it as my suggestion for future updates ;)

why dont you just hit "stop adding" if you want to first import another list?

Yeah, that's what I did. But what I meant is to continously study all my lists, but prioritize some of them (radicals, HSK). Of course, to stop adding some of them temporarily is quite a good workaround.

This was suggested once before. It could come in handy sometimes, but we are not planning on doing this, since it adds more complexity than it warrants.

Is there a default number of words/characters that are imported from a list once it's that list's "turn"? If so, wouldn't it be possible to just have a default of say 3 words, and allow the user to up that number. So that every time skritter adds new words from most of my lists it adds three words (or whatever), but every time it comes around to one of my main textbooks it adds ten. Thoughts?

It's not a problem of how to implement it, OCaptain. It's that we don't think it's worth the added complexity on the backend and in the user interface. We just think it's more important to keep it simple than to add this feature.

Fair enough.
