list keeps going back to "adding" section

My "Chinese Breeze Complete" list keeps getting added to the "adding words from" in the study section. If I go tto the study section, click on "stop adding" for that list, then refresh the page, it jumps back to the adding section. This is happening both on the web version and in the iOS app.

This is a bit troublesome as I'm trying to add words from a different list.

I tried to reproduce this in beta and stable, and could not. It worked fine on Firefox. What browser on your computer are you using?

Hi Scott, I can't reproduce it anymore either. When I went to my "Study" page, the list was already in the "Reviewing words from" section and is working normally now. I was seeing the issue in chrome, and in the iOS app list page. Thanks for looking at this.

Hi Scott, I was able to reproduce this by playing around with the 'study settings : study mode' in the iOS app.

I went into the iOS app, pulled up the list and clicked on 'change study settings'. it seems to be a bit inconsistent. At first I had 'study mode' set to review, and changed it to 'add'. however the add setting wasn't sticking, and whenever I clicked 'restart adding' for that list and refreshed, it would get put back in the reviewing heading. After I changed the study setting from the web site, then it started working again.

I also was able to teigger my initial problem by changing the study mode to 'adding' in the iOS app for that list, the clicking on 'stop adding' for that list. The study setting stayed on 'adding' and it would jump back to the study list.

I've updated the iOS code to make sure everyone is on the same page; I realized that the latest version of code used for iOS was a little old. Now we're using the same server setup, and I still can't reproduce this. How's it working for you now? You may need to force quit the app and start it again to make sure it's up to date.

Also what version of iOS are you using? Did you update to iOS 6.0?

Hi Scott,

I am on iOS6 and I just did a fresh install of Skritter.

I can recreate the bug as follows (all in the iOS app, I not use the web interface for anything):

1) After a clean install, the list is set to "reviewing words from"
2) Click on 'restart adding' in the list view
3) click on the list, go to study settings, and change 'study mode' to 'add'
4) go back to the list view
5) click 'stop adding' for that list
5) refresh
if you don't see the bug try;
6) go back ino the list
7) go back to the list view
8) press refresh

i am able to reproduce doing the above steps.

It seems to me like the 'restart adding' and 'stop adding' links in the iOS App do not always properly update the 'study mode' setting
