Feature suggestion: Custom character practice

It would be great if the iPhone app had an option to type a few characters using standard iPhone input (pinyin etc) and then practice writing them - without having to go through the whole list creation. This would also work if network connection is not available for some reason.

As an bonus, it would also be a good way to show characters to someone in BIG LETTERS :)

Like the scratchpad, but for iOS? http://www.skritter.com/scratchpad

I think we see too little use of the scratchpad as it is on the web version to re-implement it in the iOS app.
