This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

This is really cool. Don't change it. The audio for 关 guān mountain pass / to close / to shut / to turn off / to concern / to involve　has a sound before the character is read. It sounds like a door or a box being shut....so by accident it gives an extra mnemonic to help memorise the reading of the character.
