Skritter on the new Ipod touch

俞翰森   October 26th, 2012 2:20a.m.

If there is anyone thinking about getting an Ipod touch to skritter I would just like to say, please have a look at the 5:th generation before you decide. I got one two weeks ago and is like wow. My old ones did rather often crash due to way to little system memory while running skritter. New one not even once. Much better screen, very much lighter, much faster etc. When skritter in next release also will support retina screens this will be more than perfect. Compared to use the Iphone I feel this is a much better device that is truly enjoyable to use. By some reason(Currency exchange rates) this is also one of very few things that is cheaper in Japan than back home(Sweden). For me it where 30% cheaper. Side note, the new camera also have auto focus so Pleco OCR finally works in the touch. The only thing that I do miss is the split screen function that the phone and Ipad have (using skritter via Apple TV).

which version did you have before? I have the 4th generation one and I think it works really well

I have a 4th as well and that do crash at lest a couple of times a day with Skritter. Same with my first gen Ipad. The both have the common problem of very little system memory. I can even see this in the crash reports that it is in fact running out of system resources. When i use it for my daughters account with much fewer items it do however works better so it might be that it also depends on how much is cached, what other apps are running in the background etc, etc. There have been other reports on the forum about this as well.
