Word order when adding

Hey all,

I'm a little curious about the order of adding new words. I've been using Skritter for a few years and noticed that when I'm adding from a list, the words are not added in order.
What I mean is this:

This pic is just one example but it serves it's purpose I guess.
When I add new kanji, and then some compound words using that kanji, I would love to learn the "basic", single kanji word first, and then the compounds.
So I always add them to my lists in that order, like in my example:
象 -> 印象 -> 現象、 去る -> 過去 -> 去年 etc.
But Skritter seems to always (?) go for the compounds first, and it seems like sometimes it takes quite a while until it "goes back" on my list to add the skipped kanji. Like in my example, 象, 去る and 神 are all skipped (for now) but some of the following words are already added.
Is this intended or just a coincidence? Is there a reason it's not adding the words in the order I add them to my lists?

Again, I'm just curious of how the adding process works, not complaining. :)

That does sound like a bug; it is supposed to more or less add them in order. I think it must be Japanese-only? (I study Chinese and haven't seen it.) Other Japanese Skritterers: do you see similar issues?

Oh really? I thought it's a little strange. To my experience it's very consistent - I remember it's been frustrating me a bit ever since I started using Skritter in 2011. (but not enough to point it out before :)

I'm studying Jp and never had this. Never noticed at least.

I have this problem, too... I'd like the words to come up in the order that was put in the list, at least for the first time they're added. I'm studying Japanese using iOS app.
