Unban-characters bug found on web platform

sbocknek   September 24th, 2014 8:09a.m.

First of all, I could not locate on my iOS app any section to unban my banned entries.

So, I went to the corresponding section of the web platform.

However, at "http://www.skritter.com/vocab/banned," there is a bug: Checking multiple boxes and clicking "Unban" deletes only one word entry at a time. This is incredibly frustrating, as I have about 165 words to unban :(

Hi There! I've checked on your account and tested unbanning the words via the "Banned" area on My Words, it appears to be working correctly. I banned the first two pages of words but got nervous about banning the rest in case you didn't want them all of them unbanned.

If you go to the banned words area at http://www.skritter.com/vocab/banned (as you mentioned), then click the very top left hand check box it will select all of the words, then click the "Unban" button which will unban those items and also make them not display in the list (showing the next group of banned items if there are any remaining)

Here's a thread from earlier regarding unbanning words in iOS: http://www.skritter.com/forum/topic?id=5753675863556096&comments=1

Hi Jeremy,

Thanks so much for the super-quick response.

The fact that it was working for you when you tried it on your end was curious to me. So, I tried performing this action in a different browser, and it did work fine!

So, it looks like it was a problem with the interaction between the Skritter online platform and something about the Google Chrome (version 37.0.2062.122) that I was using. The browser with which it ended up working for me was Firefox, version 31.0.

Thanks for your help, and here's hoping this information can help others with the same Chrome problem!
