Hey,
I just noticed that Skritter uses "qiánbian" as the standard Pinyin for 前边, instead of "qiánbiān" as listed in nciku and various other dictionaries.
Investigating further in this matter I came up with a general question: Is there a rule regarding the tone of "边" in two character words? For 左边 and 右边 the tone of "边" is listed as being neutral in nciku (although not in the german dictionaries like leo.org and HanDeDict). However for 旁边 the tone is listed as being the first one in all dictionaries.
