Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

question about blocking items

Bohan   March 31st, 2013 10:46a.m.

If we mistype something when adding a word to the database, and then realize it and message the Skritter guys so that they can either delete it or fix it, but...then block that item because we need to add the right item and cram it, then later if the skritter guys change the blocked item to a word that we added after that, then will the correct word end up being blocked, since we blocked the incorrect item which was then turned into the correct item?

I don't think it would be a problem, since you would have already added the correct item as well in this case. If it's a bad entry that you block and gets changed into a correct one that didn't already exist, however, I would imagine that it would stay blocked, but am unsure. Nick or Scott would probably know better.

I am not sure, but I think that if you have already studied the correct item once, then the old item will be thrown away and the ban will not affect it. It's complicated, so it might be possible that the ban would transfer if you hadn't studied the correct item yet when we made the fix, but looking at the code, I don't see how.

I think you're good.
