(Tiny) New Feature - All-Time Progress

猴猴   September 2nd, 2013 9:57p.m.

As a total nerd for graphs, it would be sweet if I could see my progress since joining instead of just for the past year. (Maybe this is already possible on the web, but I use iOS exclusively and it would fit nicely in the row of icons at the bottom of the progress screen.). Thanks for considering it!

yes this would be good I think

You can click on the "Totals" button on the upper right on the web progress page to see the total stats (although it doesn't graph them all). The iOS progress reports have always been kind of a placeholder until we get the time to make a native view for them that will look much more awesome.

I am really happy to hear that this is on the list. It is a huge loss in my Anki/Skritter comparison. I always thought that the team just didn't value graphs all that much (a little atypical for programers, I'd say).

Nick, does the system safe a timeline for each individual character? I.e. will it (at some point) be possible to go through one's vocab, and find timestamp and grade for every prompt ever answered? (I guess this is wishful thinking, but you never know until you ask...)

It saves that kind of information for each review done, but for performance reasons (and since there's never been a feature that has needed it), it's not indexed at the moment--so it would be hard to construct that kind of timeline efficiently.
