user manual / instructions ?

Is there a user manual for Skritter ?
Yes I'm using it, sort of, and it's great, but...
How many lists should I add?
How do I get rid of characters when I have far too many new difficult ones appearing?
Is there anything to explain about pausing lists?
I found the page that explains the buttons (such as the phantom), but I could really do with more help.
Rachael.

Rachel, as it turns out, there is in fact a user's guide in the works, and I'm the one working on it. It's about 50% done and it's quite extensive. What I'm basically doing is going through every page of the website and writing a detailed description of what each thing is, how it works, and best use case scenarios. I'm hesitant to lock down a date when I expect to finish it, but I hope to get it completed in the near future. I have a friend who actually writes instructions for a living and I'm going to send it to him to proofread. However, I could always use another pair of eyes, and if you'd be interested, I would be happy to share the draft with you (prior to web formatting) and you could tell me if I'm being thorough enough. In fact, that might be a really good thing to do seeing as I probably have a very different take on how and why to explain each individual button. You can e-mail me directly at george [at] skritter dot com if you're interested.

I initially struggled as well without a detailed user guide. I would suggest, based upon my personal experience, to:

1. start with one list
2. set 'move on to next section' as manual under list options
3. below the function buttons (e.g phantom, next character), there is a double black line. if you click it, you can expand it, showing you a progress bar of the list(s) you are doing, as well as an option to pause/unpause the lists. If you find yourself getting too much, just pause the list from that menu)
