Android app: repeating/inbox count wrong

sylvanica   November 16th, 2014 9:22p.m.

Hey there!

When I open Skritter in Android, it showed 24 items in my inbox. But when I went to 'Study', it kept showing me ones I had already done earlier that day and marked 'Easy'. Then I backed out and went to 'Study' again, and lo and behold, there were 0 in the inbox!

Which brings up another issue: is it normal that it keeps repeating the items I've already studied? Is there a way to make it go into 'auto-add' mode when I'm out of things to study instead of a 'review the same things endlessly'? I feel like I'm doing something wrong, or I'm too used to Anki/Wanikani.

Thanks!

Hey sylvanica,

Thanks for your feedback! Yes, it's normal to see repeated items when you first start studying even if they are marked easy. Skritter allows you to continuously study even when your due count reaches zero. So if your due count makes it down to 0 then it might throw other things at you just to mix things up. As more items are added the easy things will get buried by things you're having troubles with.

I've been trying to get the due count under control for a month or so now and I'm still working on it. As you've noticed going back to the dashboard does help things along. Automatically adding items when the due count is low is on the todo list and I would expect to see it before the end of the month.
